Problem: Right now our biggest problems with the T is the additudes of the operators/workers and increases in student charlie card prices.
Solution: Our idea is to volunteer our time to help clean the trains and buses of its trash, get people their charlie cards, etc. each day. If each student puts in one hour of their time to help clean or get people charlie cards we could give our help in exchange for student charlie card's prices not increasing at all. This can also help with the workers additudes. If they dont have to clean or give instructions for getting charlie cards for people they will be less stressed and have a nicer additude towards people.
Why: Right now the T is in danger of going out of buisness completly they dont have enough money to keep up with the growing need for public transportation. The T has one person doing a four person job. Thats not fair. I understand you may think its not your problem because its not your job its theirs but it is your problem too. If we dont help them nothing will ever change the only solution is to help because if the T closes how are peole going to get around, you, your parents, your friends, your parent's friends. We all will be affected.
